Jeremy Tardy is a maritime professional specializing in vessel productivity with an emphasis on safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Jeremy began his career as a Deckhand on towing vessels and quickly advanced through the ranks to Pilot and Captain.
As a full-time Pilot and Captain for ten years, Jeremy successfully navigated the Inland Waters and Western Rivers of the United States until being promoted into shoreside management leadership roles in 2014. While leading Vessel Operations teams, Jeremy primarily focused on developing competent and passionate teammates, driving safety and productivity performances, implementation of regulatory requirements, and working across departmental lines to realize shared goals.
Jeremy currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Illinois River Carriers Association (IRCA) as Captain’s Committee Chairman. In this role, Jeremy leads and organizes the joint efforts of USCG, USACE, industry stakeholders, and recreational communities to promote safe navigation upon the Illinois Waterway.
